Abstract

Social mapping aims to seeing and knowing the state of society, then conduct a needs assessment and identify economic problems, the potential socio-economic, and other opportunities that can be developed, the Characteristics of empowerment targeted. Social mapping is a mapping of the social which was held to find a clear picture of the state of society in time (up to date). Identify the type and level of need empowerment programs that increase self-reliance. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study approach. A variety of potential of the social economy that focuses on the dimensions of the potential that exists at this time. The characteristics of the community target of empowerment has been paying attention to those who are directly affected by, the development of local potential, and sustainable programs that provide added value and synergy with the government.
